Construct Venture invests in Reduzer
Reduzer has secured a strategic funding round of approximately NOK 20 million to accelerate the development of its software, which enables cost-effective emission reductions across the construction industry while simplifying and automating increasingly stringent environmental and greenhouse gas reporting requirements. Momentum, Futurum Ventures, and Construct Venture are joining as new investors, equipping the company to further enhance its technology and expand both nationally and internationally.
Reduzer’s solution provides contractors and real estate developers with full control over emissions from material usage, construction processes, and energy consumption. By leveraging data-driven insights, the software enables cost reductions and ensures sustainable resource management. Additionally, by automating time-consuming documentation processes and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, Reduzer helps streamline construction projects while mitigating risks.
- Securing backing from some of Norway’s most reputable investors is a major milestone. We are now building on our strong momentum in Norway while taking the necessary steps for international expansion. We see immense growth potential, and this investment allows us to accelerate development and recruit key personnel, says Eirik Resch, CEO of Reduzer.
Originally developed to simplify environmental reporting, Reduzer’s solutions have evolved into a comprehensive tool for contractors, architects, consultants, and real estate developers. The software optimizes material use, reduces waste, and automates complex documentation processes—leading to significant time savings, increased internal ownership of environmental impact, and better financial control. With over 60 customers already on board, the company is experiencing growing interest from both Norwegian and international players.
- We invest in solutions that create real value for the industry, and Reduzer is a prime example of this. Several units within OBOS and AF Gruppen have already implemented the solution and verified its value in their projects. Their experience shows that Reduzer enables a much more efficient and precise approach to managing greenhouse gas emissions, which is critical for both contractors and developers, says Jan Fossgård, Construct Venture.
The market for greenhouse gas accounting is expanding rapidly, driven by stricter documentation requirements for obtaining construction permits. Reduzer plans to expand its team and explore international growth opportunities to strengthen its market position.
- We see tremendous potential in Reduzer’s technology. Buildings account for approximately 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and the EU aims to reduce the industry’s footprint by 60% by 2030. Achieving such ambitious targets requires effective tools. We are highly impressed by the team’s expertise and vision and believe the company can become a leading international player, says Hilde Støle Pettersen, Partner at the climate tech fund Momentum.
- We invest in the best technology entrepreneurs. Reduzer’s solution has received outstanding feedback from the market, both in terms of quality and ease of use, which particularly caught our interest, says Monika Zsak, Partner at Futurum Ventures.
